I've given up on blogging about Twilight thing, so instead I'm blogging about preschool teachers. This just came to mind because as I was constantly trying so hard to teach my six year old brother who by the way just guesses the answers in hopes of pissing me off. I mean, I really do salute preschool teachers because they have so much patience.

Christmas Breeeaaak!

Not what I expected. I expected Christmas Break to be relaxing and so far, it's so not. However, I did get few trips to the mall already. That was fun fun fun! HAHAHAHA. I've also gone to several Christmas parties already.

I DON'T...

want to wish Merry Effin' Christmas to all those carolers! And because it's Christmas time again, we are obligated to give because it's the SEASON of giving and love. I know this sounds really mean, but I can't understand why carolers who don't even know how to sing are in front of your gate asking for money for that wonderful song they just "sang". It hurts to say this, but I feel like my ear drums are gonna burst any moment now. I wish they'd just shut the eff up or just not sing at all. It's all about money now. I used to remember that carols were for the joy of Christmas and some kind of Christmas entertainment. I mean, buti sana kung mala-anghel boses niyo no. It just sucks so much.

Finally! I get to see one of my dad's bestfriend and my ninong. He's coming tomorrow for lunch. Wonder what he's gonna bring?

When people sound stupid

I am now concluding that the fact that Twilight THE MOVIE was a big hit is because its fans are biased. "Yeah, I liked it. Robert is sooo HOT." Gawd. If Edward's the only reason why you like Twilight, then maybe we should call it the EDWARD and the Cullens book. I've stated my review and no, I am not gonna change that. No matter how many comments you give me contradicting what I'm saying. I don't give a damn. I just hate it when people say that the reason why they love Twilight is because of Edward. Uhhh, gawd. Can you get any lower than that? As an avid fan of the book, I'm saying that Twilight is something that I hold close to my heart. It's not about Edward being the perfect boyfriend or how perfect the Cullens are or how stupid Bella is. It's what the story is itself. Twilight is about two people from two different worlds fall in love. It's how no matter what happens, they'll be together. This is the reason why I fall repeatedly in bed because of those heart-thumping dialogues that nobody says anymore. It's how nobody can say that there is a perfect love, but an imperfect one that can go on forever.

Twilight the movie sucked and I'm not gonna lie. Even though I am such an avid fan of the book, it wouldn't mean that I liked the movie. Why does Twilight keep on getting good hits even though it sucked? Well, FANS. Pasikat. Papansin. In our school, if you've read it you're in. What more, the movie? Right? And so, I'm listing the reasons why Twilight is still playing. :)

Reasons why Twilight the Movie is still playing:
1. GIRLS WHO ARE IN WAY OVER THEIR HEAD WITH ROB PATTZ & EDWARD CULLEN

: I am admitting that I really love the character of Edward Cullen. Any girl would. C'mon, he's not a horny guy plus he's sensitive. And what kind of guy would say, "You are my life now." Only our no.1 vampire would.

: If he's the only reason for watching the movie, it may be worth it since I agree R Pattz is hot, but no. His acting wasn't. C'mon! Like I said, give our vampire some justice!

2. GIRLS WHO SOMEHOW CONVINCED THEIR BOYFRIENDS TO READ THE BOOK AND WATCH THE MOVIE

: Oh c'mon 'fess up ladies. You somehow manipulated your guy to read the book and eventually make them watch the movie. And some of them are doing it why? You think your guy would eventually get your standards by Edward. OMFG. Whyyy? Edward is a fictional character. People sound stupid when they say, "I wish I had a guy like Edward." Reality check sis. No one in the world is like Edward. That's what makes him one of a kind.

I'm gonna update this as soon as I observe some more.

By the way, Bolt just rose up to $26.6 M beating ugly Twilight at $26.4 M. Uhh, considering this movie is just a dog finding his way home. I must admit Bolt is a two thumbs up giving it a 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, once again beating Twilight at 53%.

Twilight is just so disappointing.

Twilight the Movie review

6.5 out of 10. CATEGORY: COMEDY ayy, este ROMANCE pala.

Even though I'm a fan of the book, I can't help but give Twilight the movie a poor rating because of the following points:

1. Poor cinematography
Why? There were scenes that looked like it wasn't shot by 4-5 cameras. Instead, it looked like it only had one camera with poor quality. It looked low-cost and cheap. There were times when the camera was "magalaw".

2. Screenplay
Why? Even if I don't compare in the book, I would say that the story didn't give much justice to the Cullens nor were the characters in the movie introduced properly. I mean, a person who didn't read the book would be saying, "Ano? Bakit?" Questions that shouldn't be asked by viewers when watching a movie. The movie's screenplay should answer such questions, not leaving viewers saying those kind of things.

3. Dialogues
Good God. I was in the mood to cry already when I saw Bella in pain and Edward says, "I'm gonna make it go away..." Imagine my reaction when Carlisle said, "Edward, stop it. You're killing her." OMFG! What kind of dialogue is that? COMEDY???! Suckish, I tell you. I didn't get to have those heart thumping feelings whenever they said dialogues. I was most disappointed when I heard one of my favorite lines in the book. "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." And I didn't feel anything. :(

4. Scenes
The hunt for James was really short, when in fact it was the climax of the film. I didn't get to see that Bella was really in danger. I didn't like what they did to the piano scene. Gawd. It was so dull. It lacked life. Bella's lullaby was one of the things I liked about Twilight. They ruined that scene. I didn't get to experience the feelings I had when reading the book that I would stop, close my eyes and take a deep breath meaning I was really into it. The vampires weren't given justice. They were supposed to be graceful and had such poise. Oh, and the kiss?! I always imagined Bella to be the aggressive one. It didn't look like it though. Ballet scene. I DIDN'T GET SHIVERS UP MY SPINE. Not like what I experienced in the book. It was normal, what I really was afraid of was the blood that I would see. I forgot to mention that one of my favorite chapters was the chapter of the meadow. They just lay there, looked at each other and then ...... NOTHING.

5. Rob's acting
He needs more acting lessons. BUT, I liked his expression when they were saying their goodbyes. :) He's Edward Cullen for Pete's sake. Do him justice with the way you act.

6. The Vampires
I was really disappointed when they weren't given emphasis. Plus Jasper looked constipated ALL THE TIME. Alice looked pretty as always. Rosalie looked fugly.

Good points:
A movie wouldn't be without good points. :)

1. Kristen's acting
A big bravo to Kristen's acting in the ballet scene. It was exceptional. She looked like she really was in pain. I really liked that part.

2. James' acting
He looked really cool. Especially when he was smelling the scent of Bella. Those eyes would roll and it really looked like he wanted to eat her. BRAVO JAMES! Hot and good! :)

3. Rob's HOT.
Especially when he puts on that hot shades of his. Gaaah.

3. Visual effects
I liked their visual effects. I never thought they could do the Edward-sparkling-in -the-sun scene, but it wasn't what I imagined. It spelled pretty good effort though. Cars moving fast were really good and the baseball scene was nice.

I continue to be disappointed as I write this. Even if I was expecting too much, the trailer spelled that it would be a great movie. Something that you wouldn't regret wasting your money on. But I guess the trailer was wrong.

I am giving it 3 stars. I'm disappointed with Meyer. She chose the wrong production company. This was what I feared: That I'd hate it. But, what's done is done and no, I wouldn't recommend watching it again. Good Lord. It could have been miles better. However if you're watching because of Rob, well then his face would be worth it.

You're better off watching Bolt. :)

The Eye.

Imagine full on partying and dancing! That was what we experienced for our victory party. Because of our successful 2nd Pula't Gintong Maskara Festival of our theatre group Dulaang Kruhay, we were able to hold a victory party! It was so much fun and there were lots of food. The event started off with us posting with our respective partners. ( Mine was Gio and Robelle.) Our theme was a masquerade party with a black and white motif. We started the program with Sir Tinoy, our moderator and Zia, our vice president-external as emcees. And the winners were: (drumroll pleaseee!)

On the Verge

I was on the verge of breaking down and crying in school. For Pete's sake, because of my absence, I have been constantly copying notes and scratching my head, wondering if that will help me in understanding the lessons better. However, that endeavor was to no success. Even though there are lessons that I do understand now, (say hello to TLE!) I still think I'm gonna fail the Monthly Test which is 2 days away.

The hectic schedule almost made me cry. Imagine, I left late today because of the stupid pictorial that we had for the delegates of CMLI, which was not sensible after all because we were incomplete. We had to go through all the trouble bringing our semi formal attires and having to wear it, only to find out that there will be another pictorial on Friday. One thing that bugs me this week too, is when we are late. We had a quiz in Trigonometry, 15 minutes late for Social Studies. Because we were dismissed 15 minutes late from English, we only had 15 minutes to take our lunch break which is really short, especially to us who haven't passed yet our Monthly Test in Computer and thought that we could do it smoothly in our break time. This resulted to Raechell, Nathalie and me almost missing our Research class. This did not please me at all because I was so behind on notes already that I didn't want this to add to the burden. But what can we do about it?

Tomorrow, we'll be presenting to the high school department our winning piece (Talent Variety Show) in CMLI. (Yes, we won 1st place! 3 years in a row, baby!) This really makes me nervous kahit na ginawa na namin. I didn't practice today. I admit I slept, but you see I needed rest. I came from an illness. I exuded the feeling of confidence that I'll be able to do it tomorrow, but now, I guess I'm not so sure. Help me, good Lord! Please help me not to make a fool of myself tomorrow. Let me portray my character well and please forgive the clothes,(lack thereof) that I'll be wearing tomorrow.

I guess that's true. And judging from my blog entry for the past weeks, I guess I should just be happy that we're still friends even though I have this feeling. I know it hurts helluva bad, but I guess it's for the best. I mean, there are a lot of fish in the ocean and it isn't like me to stick to this one person. Yes, I want to move on. Besides, it wasn't even love so I'm not holding back anymore.

My smile is from ear to ear and yes, I'm happy. I guess it's enough.

Now I'm ending my senti moments and depression. I know it sucks and it just sucks the life out of me. Nobody wants that! Especially me. The life of the party!

Speaking of parties, I have one next Friday. It'll be a victory party for the success of out Maskara Festival and I have got to say, it really is gonna be fun! We're gonna dress up and have a masquerade ball. See? I love the idea already.

I have to get a dress. Gosh. What'll I wear?

Tired of being sick. :(

Because of several different illnesses, I wasn't able to attend Kruhay's weekend shows and the fieldtrip. My last fieldtrip. It's not fun being stuck in my room breathing the same air over and over again. It's not fun having your food brought to your room because you're too sick to go down. It's not fun having to do nothing at all except toss and turn in your room and if there wasn't a TV there, you're sure you'll rot somewhere and die of boredom.


My fever's letting up already. However, the various illnesses, oh they're not going away. ERRR.

I gotta go. I have stomach aches.

How can you say goodbye?

I apologize if you find this sentimental or lonely at all, and so not me.


Freakishly weird and confused. Feelings that have been going through my veins for quite some time now. Nobody knows, of course. Tell me reasons why I can't rest and why I keep thinking about this. I wasn't aware that it was happening and I already forgot the feeling, remember?

How is anybody supposed to know when it happens?

This is why I have to say goodbye, to do it faster so the pain doesn't sting so much. I know I have to speak those words but I am scared. I know at some point, the hurt of goodbye would erase my illusion of it being easy. Nothing scares me more than saying those words.


So I'm not saying it. I'll simply drift away.... leaving you nonexistent. I'll try to get on with life, believing it will be so much better without you. You won't even know I was gone, right? Just like all that has been happening. I've been stepped on, allowing you to have it all. My heart is in a cage and like a stray, it needs feeding but you always forget. I've decided to break free and go astray. Though it pains me not to have comfort and a home, it'll be better for us both. We've gone through a lot, we've laughed our laughs, and laughed our cries. I've told you everything but felt like you told me nothing. You will always have this special place in my heart. You will always be something for me. I may say I don't believe in you, but you know in my heart I do. No matter what they say, I always thought you and I remained best friends until the end. But I have to let go because it feels like I'm the only one holding on.

Slowly and painfully, I'll forget the friendship we've had. If I keep it, love will tear us apart.

Stupid Love

That's all I ever hear. Is there no other word than this? Sometimes when I hear people talking about it, I just want to make myself disappear. When they talk about this, they turn into giddy, funny looking people that I once was. Let's face it, we've been there before.

Sadly, I don't remember the feeling anymore. I remember the boy, but I don't remember the feeling anymore. I don't mean to be CYNICAL, but it'll all come down to that. We'll be left alone in the world with only God on our side.

Yes, everyone wants to feel this somehow. Even I do. But what's the point?

After a year and 5 months, I'm finally letting it go. After all the pain it caused me, I'm letting it fly.

Sus. Kadrama. I'm finally saying goodbye to my braces. I was so excited before when I was gonna have it removed, but now. Gawd. I miss my braces. My teeth turned out fine. Haha. Anyway, I'm still gonna have retainers so my teeth don't move.

Compulsive Buying

I don't get why shopping excites me so much. The thought of having one thing and even more things puts a smile on my face. Lately, I know. I've been compulsively buying. Here and there, I've been ordering things and it's already cost me my David Cook Concert money. Seriously, I don't want to shop anymore. But I really can't help myself.

West Side Story

Yes! We watched the play: West Side Story. I pleaded Daddy to let us watch that. Everyone knows only Mama and I are interested in those kind of things. So everyone argued before we went to dress up. Nikka and I slept in the car as usual, and we then, ate lunch at Chowking. Yum. We went ahead to Meralco Theater and yes, it's still the same. I've been there before when we watched Beauty and the Beast (KC Concepcion as Beauty). I decided to wear an informal outfit, which I don't usually do when I go to plays. Anyway, we sat in the 4th row. COULD YOU BELIEVE I WAS IN THE FOURTH ROW?! It was cold and when it started, I heard that all familiar snap. It brought me back to those days when we were still rehearsing for our musical with the same name. HAHAHA. It was a project. So anyway, I quite enjoyed the play with its wonderful songs and the hotness of Christian Bautista and Gian Magdangal.

After the play, we went to the Podium to have dinner. We ate at Kimono Ken, and I have to admit for that expensive price, it wasn't as half as good as Teriyaki Boy and yes, I'm loyal. We finally ate dessert at the Dome, which I'm not new to. Chocolate Cake and Double Chocolate Iced Coffee are the perfect mix, I'll tell you.



Just some random thought: What'll happen to me when I become drunk? :) Hahaha.

Can't you see that's not a compliment? Okay, you might say I am a hypocrite because I totally don't know what I'm talking about. Well, I do. And to say that I'm proud to be a bitch, that is so wrong. I may have that attitude most of the time, but never ever would I say that I was proud to be one. I'm not. Girls should n't be subjected to be proud to be called those things. It's not flattering.

Here's the scoop about me whenever there are family parties, which I can't seem to avoid and I don't want to stop doing it.

I wait for the guests to arrive, and no, I don't retreat to my room RIGHT AWAY. As soon as they arrive, I do the traditional "beso" and "mano". I hang out with my cousins for a while and then when it's eating time, I eat. After a while, I get so bored and I get awkward, that's the time I stay in my room. I don't know why I do that. It's just that I don't like mingling with them for a long time. Let's face it, I'm not like this with my friends. Nor am I like this at school.

So guess what? I was reprimanded AGAIN for not being a good hostess which I probably would be if I didn't feel so awkward around them. I hate this feeling but I do it anyway. And now, I feel guilty because they gave me such a nice gift and I know I said thank you, but I feel it isn't enough.

I suck. :(

Ode to Durian. :)

With the rainy weather & the red wine churning in my stomach, I will write an ode to durian because it's the reason why I'm having this terrible headache.


Oh durian!
You smell so heavenly

Ech. I hate durian. Its smell is all over the house. Plus, one time, my mom picked me up from school and she burped and hello! We meet again, durian. I seriously want to puke right now.

Let's explore the DURIAN even further. JOY.

According to Wikipedia, the durian(IPA: [ˈd(j)ʊriən, -ɑn])^[1] is the fruit of trees from the genus Durio belonging to the Malvaceae, a large family which includes hibiscus, okra, cotton, mallows, and linden trees. Widely known and revered in Southeast Asia as the "King of Fruits", the fruit is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk.( How unique indeed.)

Here's a Philippine Folk Tale on how there came to be durian. I'm so grateful, Barom-Mai.

There was an old and ugly king named Barom-Mai who lived in a place called Calinan. Calinan is in Mindanao (not in the Visayas region). This kind lived hundreds of years ago. He was very powerful, except in winning the love of his young bride, Madayaw-Bayho (the daughter of Tageb, the king of the pirates).

Barom-Mai asked his advisors for help to win the love of his bride. Matigam was the wisest of the advisors. Matigam told the king "There is a hermit named Impit Purok. He lives in a cave in Mt. Apo. He can help you."

Barom-Mai went to see the hermit. The hermit asked the king for three things: He wanted an egg of the black tabon bird. He also wanted twelve ladles of fresh milk from a pure white carabao. And finally, he wanted nectar from the flower of the tree-of-make-believe.

Barom-Mai asked the hermit "Why do you need these things?"

The hermit explained: "I will use the egg to soften the young bride's heart. I will use the milk to make her kind. And the nectar, it will make her see you as a young and handsome king."

Barom-Mai goes to find the items for the hermit. For the egg, he gets the help of Pawikan, the king of sea turtles. The next morning at breakfast the king's cook helps him find the milk of a white carabao. And the nymph of the air, Hangin-Bai, leads him to her sister, a wood nymph, with the magic flower in her hair.

Barom-Mai brings the three items to the hermit. Impit Purok asks the king to prepare a big feast after he wins his young bride, and to invite Impit Purok as the king's guest of honor.

The hermit then goes to work mixing the three ingredients. After they are mixed, he tells Barom-Mai to plant the mixture in his royal garden. The next day, a tree grew. The tree had a sweet smell, and it's fruit tasted good. When Madayaw-Bayho was given the fruit of this tree, she fell in love with the king Barom-Mai.

The king is very happy that he has his bride. He has a big feast for all of his closest friends. But he forgets his promise to the hermit Impit Purok. He forgets to invite the hermit.

In retaliation, Imput Purok cats a curse upon the fruit: The sweet smell is replaced with a horrible odor, while the smooth skin of the fruit is covered with very sharp and dangerous thorns. Ths is how the durian smells and looks to this day.

Wow. I'd like to extend my gratitude to stupid Barom-Mai and the hermit, the ones who made it possible for me to smell the UNIQUE ODOR my nose is currently ehem, enjoying.

According to Wikipedia, chivalry is defined as courteous behavior. And recently, I heard on the radio that nowadays, chivalry isn't that well practiced anymore. My reaction? DUH! As if that's not happening and that you didn't anticipate it.. With the rapidly changing world today, there's no wonder chivalry isn't present anymore. Men now think that we're equals, which is what we wanted in the first place right? Think of it this way girls, our ancestors asked for the equality. We asked for the lifting of the discrimination. We asked that we should not be referred to as the weaker sex. And now, we're asking a guy to open the door for us?

Girls are so crazy if they still think that guys would do that. Seriously, if I had to do what guys do, I would go do it. This isn't about me being feminist or anything. It's just that we asked for it. So there has to be some advantages and disadvantages in that course of action.

So if that guy decides to open the door for you, tell him, "Why bother?"

my 200th post. :)

I am oh-so proud that after a year and a half, I have 200 posts already! Yey me. I never thought I'd come this far because I don't really get to update much ever since the school year started. But, I did try though. So now, my goal will be to make it to my 500th post within May of next year. It'll be my blog's second anniversary.

So my 200th post is going to be all about CSI LAS VEGAS!


I picked this special topic to be my 200th post for one reason: I AM IN LOVE WITH IT.

Call me crazy, but I just love the show. I could spend hours watching than doing anything else. And all the scientific stuff and the solving mysteries stuff really amazes me. I watched an episode the other day,(Season5, if I'm not mistaken) the opening of the episode was this girl who was being chased and she was in her underwear. It was so cool and so they tried to solve the case and it turns out the suspect had chimera! Chimera is a disease where you have 2 DNAs. It was so cool. I never would have expected it. Watching CSI makes me aware that there are crimes that occur in our world. After all, according to Darwin's Natural Selection, Survival of the Fittest.

CSI Las Vegas makes me think and makes me enjoy at the same time. It has drama, fun and laughter. I'm gonna confess now. I don't like other CSIs like Miami or New York. They're just boring. They don't have interesting cases which you can cry on or even be amused.

Another PLUS for CSI Las Vegas: THEY HAVE THE HOTTEST GUYS.

Ever since Mom and Dad's Annual Medical Checkup at the Asian Hospital, we've been eating healthy food. And it's not just any healthy food, imagine steamed vegetables. STEAMED! OMG!

Yesterday, my mom received a text that our carpenter/electrician, Kuya Danny, was in the hospital because he fell from something at work. He was in the ER and comatose. I was worried because comatose na kaya. So my parents were planning to visit and give some financial aid to his family today. Sadly, my mom said that he died na. I cried a bit and I was shocked because he was important. Hindi lang dahil carpenter/electrician namin siya, part of the family siya. Lagi siyang nandyan at laging kakwentuhan. I'm just so sad.

Wherever you are Kuya Danny, I hope you are in a better place. We'll pray for you.
